Spring is in the Air, Love is in the Air!
Spring is here! Well, kind of. I am sure we will see snow at least one more time up here in Idaho. However, for the moment it feels like Winter is finally starting to ease up. This was one of the roughest winter's we have had in a long time, and I am so over it! So, to kick off Spring I thought I'd put together some of our favorite ways to add a little spring to your wedding day!
Add a touch of elegance and color with an extra long table runner in a fun pastel shade. You don't have to have an overwhelming amount of color throughout your venue to give your guests that airy spring feeling. Using a light chiffon or flowy fabric creates movement in the room and adds that color!
This season we are in love with the color palettes we have seen so far! Here are a few that definitely incorporate color without being overwhelming! All of these are inspired by Pantone colors, so if you love them, a swatch is easy to find on their website!
Flowers! Of course most flowers are "Springy", but if you really want to give that fresh feeling, try using wildflowers. Fresh cut in a mason jar or beautiful vase, these flowers can create a whole new vibe for your tables! They can double as table numbers too!
This next one is for those of you who are lucky enough to have no April showers on your day! Why not enjoy the weather and put a few lawn games out?! These can incorporate your wedding colors and add so much fun to your reception! Get creative with your games, where you set them up, and possibly prizes for people who win! Here's some of our favorite:
Hope these help you get creative for your Spring weddings! Remember, if you still cannot find that perfect dress, Lu Raquel can offer you the dress of your dreams! Get on our website to find a store near you! :)

"HERE COMES THE DOG"
If you are anything like my boyfriend and I, your pup is more like a family member than a pet. Here are a few ways to incorporate your sweet dog into your wedding!
1. Want your fur child to be in your bridal party? Make her leash part of your decor by intertwining flowers through her leash. This way you can assign someone to keep track of her while her parents say "I Do". She'll also look adorable, which makes for good photo opportunities. ;)
Want to learn how to make your own?
2. If your puppy will be on your groom's side of the wedding party, make him a bandana using burlap, your wedding colors, and some stick on letters! He'll look handsome and be happy to be standing by the alter with you!
Not feeling crafty? You can also buy one from here:
3. If you can train your dog to keep something on her head, this pretty idea could be for you!
When ordering flowers, talk to your florist about creating a flower crown for your little flower pup! Or make your own using fake flowers that coordinate with your wedding decor!
4. We can't forget about your guests dog's either! Make some wedding favors for your friends and family to bring home to their pups too! You can make your own dog treats (follow link below) or use store bought! Buy some cute bags from a craft store and add a sign; now you have another cute decoration for your wedding!
